Attempting to add photos

My first attempt to add a picture to my blog. Thank you Lori for explaining to me just how to do this. I appreciate your help! This is just one of the many pictures I've taken at sunset since moving to this house. I usually take one every day because they are all so different and so beautiful. I tried to take one tonight but my camera is not working for some reason. Hopefully it's just that I've used the wrong type batteries!

Adjustments

I think I finally unpacked the last of the kitchen boxes today. I've had to make adjustments moving to this house. I am realizing that there are a lot of things that I really didn't need or use much at all and I'm  having to decide what I really have to have as opposed to what I can just fill my cupboards and closets with. I have a much smaller pantry so I need to figure out some creative ways of storing things in there. On the upside there's less space to walk between the dishwasher and all the cupboards so unloading the dishwasher is much easier. I no longer have a nice laundry room either sadly . I have a laundry closet and it's downstairs. The main living part of this house is on the 2nd floor as to maximize the view of the intracoastal waterway and the sunsets (which are amazing!) So every day I am up and down the stairs to change the loads and fold. I shouldn't complain I guess because I am getting some exercise at least.  I would love to start uploading some pictures to my blog but I need to figure out how to do that. I guess I can just do a google search and find some answers but if anyone can tell me how that would be a big help. Also I would be greatful for any tips on pantry organization.

It's only Tuesday

I have a feeling this week is going to go by slow. I have a ton to keep me busy but it's nothing exciting to do but unpacking and more unpacking. Trying to find places for all of the stuff we had in our 3300 sq ft house in this 2100 sq ft  house is proving to be quite a challenge. I guess I am just going to have to purge alot more than I thought I already had. Ken left for Massachussetts this morning and won't be back till Friday. I was going to go with him but I just couldn't talk myself into flying. I really regret it because it would have been wonderful to leave the 90 degree weather here and feel what fall actally feels like again and to see the beautiful colors of the leaves. Hopefully he'll have to go back there again at the end of December and we can all go with him. I did manage to find my South Beach Diet book. I sat it on the dining room table but that's as far as I've gotten with it. I wish I had found the cupcake book instead. I'm still searching for that one. Off to get some work done around here.

Happy Monday

Another busy week about to start. I'm having a hard time getting motivated here since it's a cloudy Monday morning. I have so much to do that I don't know where to begin. I have a ton of boxes to unpack still, Halloween and fall decorations to put up and the regular everyday straightening up and laundry. Where to start?? I'd much rather spend the day reading blogs! Two things I want to accomplish today are to find my South Beach Diet book and my Martha Stewart cupcake book. Wow I think that is a complete contradiction there. How can I start the South Beach diet and also start baking my way through Martha's cupcake book? Hmm, I might have to just start the diet after I bake all the cupcakes. I probably should just start the diet after the holidays anyway which are rapidly approaching! Okay off to get out of my pajamas and get busy!

Today

Today I start my new blog. I had started a blog once before but it never really went anywhere. I guess I was a little intimidated by the whole blogging thing and got all caught up in wondering if I really had anything to say that anyone would want to read. This time I am attempting to blog for my own sake. To record life's daily happenings and give me a place to jot down my thoughts and feelings and in the not too distant future I also plan to bake my way through Martha Stewart's cupcake book (as soon as I find the box it's packed in from our recent move). I also plan to try other cupcake recipes and ideas that I find along the way.
